Timecode Support

Timecode support was added to the Image Compression Manager in QuickTime 2.0. QuickTime has been enhanced to provide timecode information to decompressor components when movies are played.

To support timecodes, your codec must support the function ImageCodecSetTimeCode , which allows the Image Compression Manager to set the timecode value for the next frame to be decompressed. For more information about timecode tracks and the timecode media handler, see Chapter 1, "Movie Toolbox."
